SMS Program Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your participation in the SMS messaging program offered by SOS Home Ohio ("we," "our," or "us"). Effective December 5, 2025. By opting in to our SMS program, you agree to these terms.

SOS Home Ohio, also operating as SOS Contractors, provides roofing, siding, and exterior services to homeowners in Hilliard and the greater Columbus metro. This SMS program exists to keep you informed about your project, appointment, and account, not to flood your inbox with promotions.

What the SMS Program Covers

Opting in means you agree to receive recurring messages related to your service with us.

By opting in, you agree to receive recurring SMS messages from SOS Home Ohio. These messages may include service updates, appointment confirmations, scheduling reminders, and occasional information about our services, such as roof maintenance reminders or gutter installation follow-ups. Message frequency varies based on your activity and interactions with our team.

Opt-Out

How to Stop Receiving Messages

You can cancel SMS messages at any time. Text STOP to the number or shortcode you received messages from. Once you send STOP, we will confirm your opt-out and no further messages will be sent to that number. If you change your mind, you can rejoin at any time.

Variable Frequency

Message frequency depends on your engagement with us and program activity. It is not a fixed number per month.

Carrier Rates Apply

Standard message and data rates may apply. SOS Home Ohio does not bill separately for SMS messages.

Carrier Liability

Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Contact us directly if you experience issues.

Privacy

Your Privacy and Our Data Practices

We are committed to your privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors who support service delivery, such as appointment or customer service functions, but SMS opt-in data and consent are never included in those transfers. This information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding the aggregators and providers that operate the text messaging service itself. To learn more, read our full Privacy Policy.

Compliance with Applicable Standards

CTIA Guidelines

Our program follows industry-standard messaging practices as defined by the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association.

TCPA Compliance

We comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act governing commercial SMS communications.

Age Requirement

Participants must be at least 18 years of age and either the account holder or have the account holder's explicit permission.
